by Julius Karl Reinhold Sturm (1816 - 1896)

Kein Lüftchen regt sich in den Zweigen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Kein Lüftchen regt sich in den Zweigen,
Die Vöglein sind in Schlaf versunken,
Die taubeschwerten Blumen neigen
Die duft'gen Häupter schlummertrunken.

Viel tausend gold'ne Sternlein gehen
Am Himmel schweigend auf und nieder,
Und leise gießt aus stillen Höhen
Der Mond sein gold'nes Licht hernieder.

Und ist mir Ruhe noch beschieden,
So muß sie jetzt der Seele kommen,
Wo mich in ihren heil'gen Frieden
Natur hat liebend aufgenommen.
