by Richard Fedor Leopold Dehmel (1863 - 1920)

Bestürmung
Language: German (Deutsch)
Was will in deinen Augen mir
dies dunkelvolle, fremde Weh,
so tief und sehr?
so still und schwer
wie Stürme, die Ruhe suchten
im Schooß der grauen See.

Versinken will, versinken mir
in dieser Augen grauen Schooß
mein Herz — und will
wie Du so still
und schwer an Dein Herz schlagen,
dann brechen die Stürme los!

Und will dich wiegen so mit mir
in rasender lachender Seligkeit
auf freiem Meer!
bis tief und sehr
die Herzen wieder ruhen,
ruhen von Sturm und Leid.

Confirmed with Richard Dehmel, Gesammelte Werke in drei Bänden, Erster Band, S. Fischer, Verlag, Berlin, 1913
