Maiennacht

Leise streichen Nebelschleier
über Flur und Wiesen hin,
blaue Veilchen blüh'n am Weiher,
duftig träumet der Jasmin.

Helle strahlt der Mond hernieder
in bezaubernd stiller Pracht,
und der Nachtigallen Lieder
tönen durch die Maiennacht.

Elfe tändelnd keck und lose
küßte rote Knospe sacht,
und die Knospe ward zur Rose
in der lauen Maiennacht.

Vels de boira s’estenen silents
damunt els camps i les prades,
violetes blaves floreixen a la vora de l’estany,
el gessamí és un somni perfumat.

Clara brilla la lluna
en una silenciosa i encisadora esplendor,
i els cants del rossinyol
ressonen en la nit de maig.

Jogasser, l’elf, atrevit i desimbolt,
besà dolçament la vermella poncella
i la poncella esdevingué una rosa
en la tèbia nit de maig.
