O, vino iar în al meu braț, Să te privesc cu mult nesaț, Să razim dulce capul meu De sînul tău, de sînul tău! Ți-aduci aminte cum pe-atunci Cînd ne plimbam prin văi și lunci, Te ridicam de subsuori De-atîtea ori, de-atîtea ori! În lumea asta sunt femei Cu ochi ce izvorăsc scîntei… Dar, oricît ele sunt de sus, Ca tine nu-s, ca tine nu-s! Căci tu înseninezi mereu Viața sufletului meu, Mai mîndră decît orice stea, Iubita mea, iubita mea! Tîrzie toamnă e acum, Se scutur frunzele pe drum, Și lanurile sunt pustii… De ce nu-mi vii, de ce nu-mi vii?

Látod, a fecske útra kél, hull a sápadt diólevél, deres a szőlő, őszre jár. Ó, jössz-e már, ó jössz-e már? Karomba veszlek itt megint, míg szemem szomjan rád tekint, s fejem válladon elpihen szép szelíden, szép szelíden. Hányszor bolyongtunk, édesem, e völgy ölén, s a réteken, s fölemeltelek, drága társ, hogy messze láss, hogy messze láss. Vannak e földön mindenütt szép nők, szikrákat szór szemük, de mint te, oly kedves, komoly, nincsen sehol, nincsen sehol. Te vagy a lelkem, s az életem, tündökölsz tisztán, fényesen. Hol is találnék csillagot, mely így ragyog, mely így ragyog? Késő ősz van csillan ó a dér, halkan csörren a holt levél, didereg a puszta határ. Ó, jössz-e már, ó, jössz-e már? Ó, jössz-e már?
