from Volkslieder (Folksongs)

Žal
Language: Czech (Čeština)
Travička zelená, kadě já chodievám,
lebo ju já často slzami polievám.
Ústa mi spievajú, oči sa mi smějú,
Ale od srdéčka slzy sa mi lejú.

Nie preto si spievám,
bych veselá bola ale preto spievám,
bych žiale zabola.
Žiale moje žiale smutné,
osiralé, ako tá rosička na zelenej trávě;
ještě tu rosičku vetriček oduje
a mňa zarmúcenu nik něpolutuje!
