Es ächzt der Schmerz im engen Raum.
Da kommt der Lenz; die Luft lau,
Die Wälder grün, der Himmel blau,
Die ganze Erd' ein Blumenstrauss;
Es dehnt die Brust sich mächtig aus.
Die Welt so schön, das Herz so weit,
Ström in mein Herz, Weltherrlichkeit!
