Je t'ai vue, reflétée dans la fontaine,
Dans la fontaine transparente ;
Ton image était lointaine
A peine apparente.

L’or de tes cheveux s’argentait 
Comme en un glauque clair de lune
Et ton regard se perdait
Dans l’eau plutôt brune.

Ton corsage pres que entre vu
Mourait en rêve
Vision de l’imprévu
Que l’esprit achève...

Achève dans l’incertain
Et sur ce miroir tremblant,
Tes mains fleurissaient soudain
Comme émergent des lotus blancs.

Et vaig veure, reflectida a la font,
A la font cristal·lina;
La teva imatge era llunyana,
Gairebé invisible.

L'or dels teus cabells s’argentava
Com en un glauc clar de lluna
I el teu esguard es perdia
En l'aigua més aviat bruna.

El teu bust gairebé imperceptible,
es fonia en un somni,
una visió de l’imprevist 
que l’esperit  perfà...

Perfà en la incertesa
i damunt aquest mirall tremolós,
les teves mans van florir de sobte
com emergeixen els lotus blancs.
