Sonnenglutdurchschwelte Luft,
Schwüler, schwerer Blumenduft,
Müd verhaltener Finkenschlag

Satte Reife weit und breit,
Leis schon übergilbt der Wald;
Bunt in Herbst verraschelt bald
Sommertraumstrosteinsamkeit.

Chant mélancolique et feutré des pinsons

Une abondance de fruits mûrs à perte de vue,
La forêt se teinte déjà doucement de jaune ;
Bientôt l’été aux couleurs chatoyantes
Se fondra dans la solitude bruissante d'un rêve d'automne.
