by Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (1844 - 1900)
Translation by O. Karatyginaya

Heimweh
Language: German (Deutsch)
Das milde Abendläuten
Hallet über das Feld.
Das will mir recht bedeuten,
Daß doch auf dieser Welt
Heimat und Heimatsglück
Wohl keiner je gefunden:
Der Erde kaum entwunden,
Kehr'n wir zur Erde zurück.

Wenn so die Glocken hallen,
Geht es mir durch den Sinn,
Daß wir noch Alle wallen
Zur ew'gen Heimat hin.
Glücklich, wer allezeit
Der Erde sich entringet
Und Heimatslieder singet
Von jener Seligkeit.

Toska po otchizne
Language: Russian (Русский)  after the German (Deutsch)
Vechernij zvon rydajet
L'jotsja tikho v poljakh;
On slovno mne veshchajet,
Chto zdes', v zemnykh krajakh
Otchizny svetlyj lik
Uvidet' ne dano nam:
Speshim my v zemlju snova,
Zemlju pokinuv na mig.

Kogda v poljakh rydajet,
Tikhij vechernij zvon,
Mne mnitsja, vsekh szyvajet
K otchizne vechnoj on.
Tot schastiv, kto zhivjot,
Zemnoj chuzhdajas' zhizni,
I pesn' svjatoj otchizny,
Blazhenstva pesn' pojot.
