Wach auf mein Herzenschöne,
zart Allerliebste mein,
ich hör ein süß Getöne
von kleinen Waldvöglein,
die hör ich so lieblich singen,
ich mein, es woll des Tages Schein
vom Orient her dringen.

Ich hör die Hahnen krähen,
und spür den Tag darbei,
die kühlen Winde wehen,
die Sternlein leuchten frei.
Singt uns Frau Nachtigalle,
singt uns ein süße Melodei,
sie meld't den Tag mit Schalle.

Du hast mein Herz umfangen
in treu inbrünstger Lieb,
ich bin so oft gegangen
Feinslieb nach deiner Zier,
ob ich dich möcht ersehen,
so würd erfreut das Herz in mir,
die Wahrheit muß ich g'stehen.

Selig ist Tag und Stunde,
darin du bist gebor'n,
Gott grüß mir dein rot Munde,

sento els dolços cants
dels ocellets del bosc,
els sento cantar tan amorosament,
penso que vol apuntar el dia
venint de llevant.

Sento cantar els galls,
i sento rompre el dia,
bufa el vent frescal,
brillen lliures les estrelles.
El Senyor Rossinyol ens canta,
ens canta una dolça melodia,
amb el seu ressò anunciant el nou dia.

Tu has envoltat el meu cor
amb un fidel, fervent amor,
jo he vingut molt sovint,
estimada, per contemplar la teva beutat,
si tan sols et pogués veure,
el meu cor s’ompliria de joia,
