Lieber Kranz, lieber Kranz!

The little wreath
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
The reapers are heading homeward. Quickly set the tables!
The tables are made of maple and the cutlery, too:
Whoever brings them to this spot, shall be the companion of my heart!
Could it [only] be Martin who earns himself this reward!
I have promised him my wreath, the green one.
Dear wreath, dear wreath! Tell me, what shall become of you now?
Should I hang onto you, should I put you aside?
"Ah, you lovely maiden! You must still keep me.
When autumn shall come, then take me from your hair!"
