Ėj, šutka-molodost'! Kak novyj, rannij sneg Vsegda i čist i svež! Carica tajnych neg, Luna zerkal'naja nad drevneju Moskvoju Odnu vyvodit noč' blestjaščej za drugoju. Čto, vse li uleglis', usnuli? Ne pora l'?.. Na serdce žar ljubvi, i trepet, i pečal'!.. Begu! Dalekie, kak by v voznagražden'e, Šljut zvezdy v inee svoe izobražen'e. V sijan'i polnoči bezmolven son Kremlja. Pod bystroju stopoj promerzlaja zemlja Zvučit, i po krutoj, chotja nedavnej stuže Dochodit boj časov poryvistej i tuže. Begu! Nigde ognja, - sosedi polegli, I každyj zvuk šagov, razdavšijsja vdali, Il' teni na stene blestjaščej kolychan'e Mne naprjagaet sluch, prervav moe dychan'e.
