Zomerlied
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
Op tengere stengelen bengelt
De haver al heen ende weer
En 't zilverig zwellende koren
Wuift wiegelend op ende neer.

O kom, waar roosbloemige klaver
Het bieken tot azen verleidt,
Waar, klapwiekend, zich met de klaproos
De goudenen vlinder vermeit!

Kom dolen door vroolijke velden
En plukken de bloemekens fijn,
En drinken de schoonheid der zonne,
Als gouden, etherische wijn!

Kom zwerven door zeëen van koren!
Zij zandig en zonnig het pad
Ginds lokt ons de blauwgroene woudzoom;
In nevelen ligt reeds de stad.

Wij poozen op grazige heuvels,
Waar het krekeltje zingt, en wij zien
De torens in 't blauw zich verheffen,
De sneeuwwitte wolken vliên.

Straks zinkt in de mollige zode
De klanklooze voetstap weg.
Buig dan naar mijn lippen en luister
Naar wat ik u fluisterend zeg!
