och bulta längre Katinka.
Månen lyser och världen gå,
och de frusna stjärnorna blinka.
Min knoge är rod, min näsa blå.
Seså, lyft nu på dörrens klinka.
Glänta på dörrn och låt mig få
tak över huvudet, din slinka.
Du skall duka ett bord med små
förgyllda koppar som vinka,
öl och brännvin och ost för två
och så en fet och rykande skinka.

Ce n'est pas amusant d'être là
à frapper chez Katinka.
La lune brille et le monde tourne,
et les étoiles glacées scintillent.
Ma cheville est rouge, mon nez bleu.
Allez, lève le loquet de la porte.
Entrouvre la porte et laisse-moi
trouver asile, fille de joie.
Tu dois dresser une table avec de petites
tasses dorées qui brillent,
de la bière et de l'eau-de-vie et du fromage pour deux
et puis un jambon gras et fumé.
