La flor es marceix al corrent de les aigües,
arrencada pel circell,
ella mancarà a les roques, a la xardor del sol –
Qui la trobarà a faltar?
La joventut fuig de pressa amb el pas del temps,
la felicitat amb el vent,
elles alenen i avancen i fugen tan lluny –
Qui viu que les pugui fermar?
Les cançons s’amorteixen, l’amor s’esvaneix,
portats pel destí,
l’onada esdevé mineral abans que l’amor duri,
per això ressona el meu plany.
Però finalment el plany s’esfuma també
en la buidor eterna;
la flor que l’ànima esberla, expira,
oblidada al mar.
