by Emanuel Schikaneder (1751 - 1812) and possibly from Volkslieder (Folksongs)

Wer solche Buema afipackt
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Wer solche Buema afipackt
Die steckt ma auf an Hut,
A Bua, der kani Federn tragt,
Der hat ka Federn tragt,
Der hat ka Feur im blut.
Drum denk an den Tyroler Bua
Und hält dein weite Goschen zu.

Note: the text is from Jakob Haibel's Singspiel "Der Tyroler Wastl", and Beethoven changed the first line, which was "Vier solche Buama afipackt" in the original. This line was translated into German as "Vier solche Buben könnte ich zwingen" in a CD source.
