Es zog ein Jäger in den Wald, halli, halli! Sein muntres Horn so hell erschallt, trari, trara, trari! Hei, hüpfen da die Hasen, die Rehlein springen mit! Was braucht der Herr zu blasen? Ein Jäger tut das nicht! Da weht ein roter Rock im Wind, halli, halli, halli! Das ist für wahr ein schönes Kind, trari, trara, trari! Zum Teufel Reh und Hasen, denkt froh der Jägersmann, viel lieber tu ich blasen, so laut ich blasen kann.
