Treue
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Mein Lieb, du schwörst mir Treue?
Was nützt das todte Wort?
Was nützt mir deine Treue
Ist deine Liebe fort

Und hab ich deine Liebe,
So hab ich die Treue auch,
Denn Liebe ist die Blume,
Und Treue ihr würz'ger Hauch.

Denn Liebe ist die Schale
Und Treue der süsse Kern,
denn Liebe ist der Himmel
und Treue sein lichter ?Stern,

Mein Lieb schwör mir nicht Treue,
Denn wenn die Liebe flieht,
Wann stürzt des Himmels Wölhung,
so fallen die Sterne mit.

Loyalty
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
My darling, you swear faithfulness to me?
What is the use of the dead word?
What good is your loyalty
Is your love gone

And if I have your love,
I have your faithfulness too,
because love is the flower,
And fidelity her spicy breath.

Because love is the skin
And loyalty the sweet core,
for love is heaven
and faithfulness is its bright star,

My darling don't swear being faitful to me,
For, when love flees,
When the sky's curvature crashes,
Thus, the stars fall as well.
