by Heinrich Leuthold (1827 - 1879)

Schweigen rings; im Garten der Villa...
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schweigen rings; im Garten der Villa plaudert
Nur der Springquell; zwischen verschlaf'nen Büschen
Lauschen Marmorgötter, und auf dem Meere
Zittert das Mondlicht.

Reiz und Anmuth theilen allein dein heimlich
Lager jetzt und über den blendend weißen
Nacken stromfallähnlich ergießt dein dunkel
Fluthendes Haar sich.

Schlaf umfängt dein zauberverbreitend Antlitz,
Deiner Glieder griechisch geformten Bau nun,
Und in's Herz dir träufelt der holde Traumgott
Sanftes Vergessen.
