Veniu, volem anar adés al país de Xauxa! Mireu, allà la vida és alegre i no es coneix la tristor! Mireu, allà la beguda és barata i divertir-se bé és de franc. La llet i la mel corren pels rierols i el vi raja de les roques! Tots els menjars estan ben fets i no és difícil de trobar-los. Les oques i els ànecs ja rostits corren arreu del país. Amb un ganivet clavat al llom corren tots els porcs rostits. Oh, quina delícia! Ei, qui no voldria ser allà! I de pastissos, panets de mantega, les branques dels arbres n’estan plenes i feixugues; les figues creixen als barders, i els ananàs als matolls de l’entorn. Ningú s’ha d’esforçar i ajupir-se, tot es presenta sol. Oh, quina delícia! Ei, qui no voldria ser allà! I els carrers de tots els pobles, tots els camins i tots els viaranys estan fets de coca de sucre i caramel i massapà. I els ponts fets de rosquilles bonics i finament construïts. Oh, quina delícia! Ei, qui no voldria ser allà! Sí, això deu ser una bona vida i un país magnífic. Molta gent hi ha volgut anar però ningú hi ha mai arribat.
