Wenn die Hahnen frühe krähen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wenn die Hahnen frühe krähen,
Macht sich auf Herr Morgenwind,
Feget aus mit starkem Wehen
Stadt und Flur und Wald geschwind.

Allen Bäumen in der Runde
Schüttelt er das Haar zurecht,
Weckt die Blümelein in Grunde
Daß sich keins verschlafen möcht'.

Nebel, die an Bergen hangen,
Jagt er ohne Gnade fort.
Kommt Frau Sonne dann gegangen,
Find't sie's sauber allerort.

Will sie ihrem treuen Winde
Geben schönen Dank zum Lohn,
Ist er, daß ihn keiner finde,
Ueber alle Berge schon.
