by (Karl) Wilhelm Osterwald (1820 - 1887)

Lieblich blühn die Bäume
Language: German (Deutsch)
Lieblich blühn die Bäume
   Voller Schmelz und Duft,
Goldne Frühlingsträume
   Schwirren klingend durch die Luft.

Meine trunkne Seele
   Träumend vergißt,
Was ihr ewig fehle,
   Daß sie tief verwundet ist.

Was dahin gegangen,
   Kehrt im Traum zurück,
Und mit scheuem Bangen
   Hoff' ich wieder neues Glück.

Aber durch die Blätter

   Zittert die Luft,
Und bald nimmt ein Wetter
Traum und Blüthen Schmelz und Duft.
