Wie konnt' es auch anders sein.

Ich hab' meinen Hut verloren,
Fort trug ihn mir der Wind,
Er weht' ihn in den Garten
Zu meinem holden Kind.

"Gib mir zurück, mein Liebchen,
Gib mir zurück den Hut.
Mein Herz kannst du behalten,
Es ist dir gar zu gut."
