by Sergei Aleksandrovich Esenin (1895 - 1925)

Spit kovy'l`. Ravnina dorogaya
Language: Russian (Русский)
Spit kovy'l`. Ravnina dorogaya,
I svinczovoj svezhesti poly'n`.
Nikakaya rodina drugaya
Ne vol`et mne v grud` moyu teply'n`.

Znat`, u vsex u nas takaya uchast`.
I, pozhaluj, vsyakogo sprosi —
Raduyas`, svirepstvuya i muchas`,
Xorosho zhivetsya na Rusi.

Svet luny' tainstvenny'j i dlinny'j,
Plachut verby', shepchut topolya.
No nikto pod okrik zhuravliny'j
Ne razlyubit otchie polya.

I teper`, kogda vot novy'm svetom
I moej kosnulas` zhizn` sud`by',
Vsyo ravno ostalsya ya poe`tom
Zolotoj brevyonchatoj izby'.

Po nocham, prizhavshis` k izgolov`yu,
Vizhu ya, kak sil`nogo vraga,
Kak chuzhaya yunost` bry'zzhet nov`yu
Na moi polyany' i luga.

No i vse zhe, nov`yu toj tesnimy'j,
YA mogu prochuvstvenno propet`:
Dajte mne na rodine lyubimoj,
Vsyo lyubya, spokojno umeret`!
