Die Sonne sinkt.
Jählings schwebt
Kühles Dämmern
Hin durch das Thal.
Fernes Hämmern,
Verlorner Schall zittert,
Bebet, leis' hell
Klagend über den Grund.

Zaghaft singend,
Regen sich Stimmen
Matt in den Blumen.
Es trinken die Immen
Die letzten Düfte,
Die letzte Süße.

Weich durch die Lüfte,
Scheidegrüße der Dämmerstund',
Gleitet ihr Summen
Scheidegrüße der Dämmerstund'.

Langsam erhebt
Zu ernsten Gestalten,
Zu Berg und Wald,
Die lautlos stehn,
Der Mantel sich bald,
Das graue Falten,
Der Nebel webt.

Schüchtern vom Baum
Lockt Amselschlag,
Die Töne verwehn,
Hörbar kaum im Abendwind.
Es ist still.
Wie ein müdes Kind
Entschlummert der Tag;
Ein Stern erblinkt.

Cançó de capvespre

Language: Catalan (Català) after the German (Deutsch)

El sol es pon.
De sobte sura
una fresca foscor
a través de la vall.
El ressò somort
d’un llunyà martelleig
tremola, planyent-se
suau i clar per la fondalada.

Cantant tímidament
unes febles veus 
es fan sentir a les flors.
Les abelles beuen
les darreres flaires,
els darrers dolçors.

Suaument pels aires,
els adéus de comiat del crepuscle,
fan rossolar llur brunzit
els adéus de comiat del crepuscle.

Adés, lentament s’enlairen,
com formes severes,
a muntanyes i boscos,
que resten silents,
els plecs grisos
del mantell
que la boira teixeix.

Amb timidesa, de l’arbre
encativa el cant de la merla,
els sons s’esvaneixen
perceptibles a penes en el vent del capvespre.
Tot és silent.
Com un infant fatigat
s’adormissa el dia;
brilla una estrella.
