by Marc Monnier (c1827 - 1885)
Translation by Emanuel von Geibel (1815 - 1884) and by Heinrich Leuthold (1827 - 1879)

Das Land der Ahnen
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the French (Français)
Our translations:  ENG
Du trägst, o Land der Ahnen,
   All uns're Welt in dir,
   Und freudig deinem Mahnen
   Zum Kampfe folgen wir;
   All uns're kleinen Fahnen
   Vereinigt dein Panier: --
   Du trägst, o Land der Ahnen,
   All uns're Welt in dir!
Das nie den Ruhm der Freien
   Der Fremdling uns versehrt;
   Daß jeder dein Gedeihen,
   O Heimat, liebend mehrt,
   Steh'n wir zu dir und weihen
   Dir Herz und Arm und Schwert;
   Daß nie den Ruhm der Freien
   Ein Fremdling uns versehrt!

Confirmed with Prof. Dr. Johannes Scherr, Bildersaal der Weltliteratur, Zweite, umgearbeiete, vervollständigte und bis zur Gegenwart fortgeführte Auflage, Erster Band, Stuttgart: Verlag von A. Kröner, 1869, page 273.
