und jede hat einer jeden Nelken und Reseden
festlich wie einer Braut gebracht -
und war ein Rätseln und Reden.

Dann hat sich mit dem Namen der Nacht
langsam die Stille besternt.
Da waren wir wie aus allen erwacht
und weit voneienander entfernt:
haben die Sehnsucht, die traurig macht,
wie ein Lied gelernt...
