Verschiedenes Loos
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
  In der Sonne, süß und lustig
Blüht die Rose;
Doch das Veilchen knospet duftig
In dem Moose.

  Blühen mag ja keine Rose
Ohne Sonne;
Veilchen nur in Gras und Moose
Steh'n mit Wonne.

  Jedem ist sein Theil beschieden,
Jedem, Allen;
Wenn wir alle nur in Frieden
Gott gefallen.

Different lots
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
  In the sunshine, sweet and jocund,
The rose blooms;
But the violet buds scentingly
In the moss.

  No rose may bloom
Without sunshine;
Violets are blissful
Only in grass and moss.

  Everyone is allotted his place,
Everyone, all people;
If only in peace we are all
Pleasing to God.
