Già sciolti i gelidi lacci, leggera
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the Latin
Già sciolti i gelidi lacci, leggera
     Sen torna e tiepida la Primavera;

Già l’equinozio riede, e al giocondo
     Spirar di zefiro si schiara il mondo.

Lascia or la Frigia, Catullo, e i piani
     Di Nicea fertili, benchè malsani;

Su, d’Asia all’inclite città voliamo:
     Non soffro indugj, vagare io bramo.

Al grato ufficio, con nuovo ardore
     I piè mi brillano, mi trema il core.

Addio, bel numero d’amici eletti,
     Che insiem partendovi da’ patrj tetti,

Da lungi a’ patrj tetti ritorno
     Per vie sì varie farete un giorno.
