Hur ljuvt det är att komma
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Our translations:  ENG
Hur ljuvt det är att komma
till Herrens tempelgård,
där trogna själar blomma
som liljor i hans vård.
Man ser de skära kalkar
för Gud där öppna stå,
och himmelsk dagg dem svalkar,
att liv och kraft de få.

Hur kärt i Andens enhet
att dem tillsammans se
i trohet och i renhet
åt Herren offer ge.
När de Guds lov upphöja
på denna fridens ort,
vem vill då ute dröja
och stanna vid dess port.

Träd in att se och smaka
hur ljuvlig Herren är,
att bedja och att vaka
med hans utvalda där.
Där ute lever flärden
så glädjelös och tom,
ack, ringa fröjd ger världen
emot Guds helgedom.

Ej vill jag vandra fjärran
till mörker bort från dag.
Mitt ljus, det är av Herran,
min sol uppsöker jag.
Inför hans anlet klara
vill i hans hus jag bo.
Där är mig gott att vara,
där har mitt hjärta ro.

The Lord is in His temple
Language: English  after the Swedish (Svenska)
The Lord is in His temple,
our song and pleasure sweet!
He calls us here, to Jesus,
to light and life complete.
As rays of sun from heaven
revive the lilies fair,
our Maker in His temple
renews us in His care.

As petals drink the sunshine,
we drink His purity;
the Word of our Redeemer
is rich in charity.
While here the exultation
in praise of mercy pours,
my child, why are you standing
outside the temple doors?

There's honey here, and manna --
the Lord is kind and sweet.
He calls with love alluring
where truth and mercy meet.
The joy the world is off'ring
is fading vanity.
In God are joys that blossom
and thrive eternally.

From day to arid darkness,
oh, may I never leave;
but let me in the sunshine
the Word of grace believe,
and drink the lovingkindness
He showers from above
within His temple, knowing
His wondrous peace and love!
