  Sel'ges Wandern! in dem Herzen
Klingen alle Glocken nach,
Drinnen glüht's wie tausend Kerzen,
Alte Wunder werden wach.
Süßer Friede, Sonntagsruh',
Nahest du?

A sunny, golden morning scent,
The breath of flowers upon the green heath,
Sunday sky, Sunday air.
Upon the mountains, in the valley,
Sunbeams --
I greet you with God many thousands of times!

  Blessed wandering! in one's heart
All the bells are echoing,
Within one's heart it glows like a thousand candles,
Old wonders waken.
Sweet peace, Sunday rest,
Do you draw near?
May God greet you! I call to you.
