My — na chuzhbine, a oni — v otchizne.

Glubokoj osen'ju v poljakh pustykh
Zakaty medno-krasnye, voskhody
Jantarnye okraske uchat ikh —
Svobodnye, zelenye narody.

Jest' Moisei posredi dubov,
Marii mezhdu pal'm... Ikh dushi, verno,
Drug k drugu posylajut tikhij zov
S vodoj, strujashchejsja vo t'me bezmernoj.

I v glubine zemli, tocha almaz,
Drobja granit, kljuchi lepechut skoro,
Kljuchi pojut, krichat — gde sloman vjaz,
Gde list'jami odelas' sikomora.

O, jesli by i mne najti stranu,
V kotoroj mog ne plakat' i ne pet' ja,
Bezmolvno podnimajas' v vyshinu
Neischisljajemye tysjachelet'ja!
