by Friedrich Hermann Frey (1839 - 1911), as Martin Greif

Ihr Grab
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es blüht ein Grab in treuer Hut,
Das beste Herz darinnen ruht.

Zu oberst blühen Rosen rot-
Dein Mund so manchen Kuß mir bot.

Und weiter ab die Lilie blüht-
Dein Herz hat rein für mich geglüht.

Zu Füßen liegt ein grüner Kranz-
Ich schwang dich oft im Maientanz.

Die Leute gehen dran vorbei,
Mir aber bricht das Herz entzwei.
