Tristor, pena, no gaire alegria,
cap feixuc, vi vessat –
Tu has de viure el bell avui!

Encara que el temps, en ràpid vol
dansi la seva eterna rotllana,
la completa tirada d’aquesta copa
és immutablement la meva pròpia.

El foc de la meva llicenciosa joventut
crema viu en aquests dies.
Mort, aquí et dono la meva mà,
vols gosar de forçar-me?
