Wind in Schlaf. Meine Hand
Lässt eine blutrote Blüte
Zerflattern im Sonnenbrand.

Ich habe schon viele Blüten
Blühn und zerflattern sehn;
Die Freuden und Wehen kommen und gehn,
Man kann sie nicht behüten.

Ich habe auch verstreuet
Mein Herzblut in das Leben hin;
Ich weiß nicht, ob's mich reuet,
Ich weiß nur, daß ich müde bin.

i cansat s’adorm. La meva mà
deixa espargir una flor vermella
com la sang en la xardor del sol.

Jo he vist moltes flors
brostar i espargir-se;
les joies i les penes van i vénen,
no les podem preservar.

Jo també he espargit
en la meva vida la sang del meu cor;
no sé si me’n penedeixo,
només sé que estic cansat.
