1 [Psalmus David.] Dominus regit me, et nihil mihi deerit: 2 in loco pascuæ, ibi me collocavit. Super aquam refectionis educavit me; 3 animam meam convertit. Deduxit me super semitas justitiæ propter nomen suum. 4 Nam etsi ambulavero in medio umbræ mortis, non timebo mala, quoniam tu mecum es. Virga tua, et baculus tuus, ipsa me consolata sunt. 5 Parasti in conspectu meo mensam adversus eos qui tribulant me; impinguasti in oleo caput meum: et calix meus inebrians, quam præclarus est! 6 Et misericordia tua subsequetur me omnibus diebus vitæ meæ; et ut inhabitem in domo Domini in longitudinem dierum.

Le Seigneur est mon berger, rien ne me manque, il me fait paître sur une prairie verte, et me conduit vers l'eau fraîche. Il réconforte mon âme il me conduit sur le juste chemin pour l'amour de son nom. Et si je marche dans un ravin sombre je ne crains aucun malheur, car tu es près de moi, ton bâton et ta baguette me réconfortent. Tu apprêtes devant moi une table, face à mes ennemis ; Tu oins ma tête avec de l'huile et tu me verses à boire ; La bonté et la miséricorde me suivront tout au long de ma vie, et j'habiterai dans la maison du Seigneur à jamais.
