Ah! hear'st Thou not the mourning Of those who are Thine own By covenant and truth? Thou once were my delight, And now art cruel to me! I seek for Thee in ev'ry place, I call, I cry to thee, Alas! my woe and grief Seem now, as if Thou knew'st them not at all.
