Llavors, per obscurs camins, el meu cor, amb forts batecs, va vers la nit angoixant, la nit angoixant, que fa emmudir els meus cants. Llavors, amb passos silents i vacil·lants precs d’infant, m’arriba la benaurança, i veu el que he sofert i diu: amic meu, què s’ha esdevingut de tu?
