Ringlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG
Wohl einen Ring von rotem Gold
hat mir ein Schmied geschlagen,
und niemand hat den Ring gewollt,
muss ihn alleine tragen.
Allein bei Tag -- allein bei Nacht --
da ist der Tod gekommen.
Der hat geküsst mich und gelacht
und hat den Ring genommen.

Song of the Ring
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
It was a ring of red gold
that a smith forged for me,
and no one wanted the ring,
I have to wear it myself.
Alone by day -- alone by night --
Thereupon death came.
Death kissed me and laughed
And took the ring.
