Es haben die liebjungen Mädchen
die blauen Husaren so gern.
Trara, trara, sie reiten durchs Städtchen,
schon tönen die Hörner von fern.
Geschwind an die Fenster, geschwinde,
ei seht den leuchtenden Glanz!
Nun schwenken sie um die Linde,
als ging es ncoh einmal zum Tanz.
Die Straße will gar nicht enden,
drum vorwärts im Trab...
da gleiten aus zitternden Händen
viel rotrote, blühende Rosen hinab.

els hússars blaus.
Tararà, tararà, ells cavalquen a través de la petita ciutat,
de lluny, ja ressonen els corns.
De pressa, a la finestra, de pressa,
ei, mireu el resplendent esclat!
Ara giravolten al voltant del til·ler,
com si de nou anessin a la dansa.
La ruta no vol pas acabar,
així doncs, endavant, al trot...
Aleshores, mans tremoloses deixen caure
moltes florides roses vermelles.
