Wie herrlicht strahlt die Sonn' empor

Von Jubelliedern schallen
Schon Feld, Gebüsch und Luft,
Und aus des Waldes Hallen
Strömt frisch der Morgenduft.
Das Vöglein schüttelt ab den Tau,
Fliegt auf und singt im hellen Blau.

Schon höher schwebt die Sonne
In ihrem Siegeslauf,
Was lebt, das atmet Wonne,
Und was da schlief, wacht auf.
O Gott, in deinem Sonnenschein,
Wie herrlich ist's lebendig sein!

i a les teves obres adreço
la meva alegre faç.
Que esplèndid brilla el sol allà dalt
i desperta els sonors càntics de la vida!

Dels cants d’alegria ja ressonen
els camps, els matossars i l’aire,
i des de l’àmbit del bosc
brilla la fresca flaire del matí.
L’ocellet s’espolsa la rosada,
i vola cantant en la lluminosa blavor.

El sol ja és ben amunt
en el seu recorregut victoriós.
Tot el que viu, alena el goig,
i el que dorm, es desperta.
Oh Déu, en la teva llum del sol,
que magnífic és estar viu!
