Slava tebe, bezyschodnaja bol'! Umer včera seroglazyj korol'. Večer osennij byl dušen i al, Muž moj, vernuvšis', spokojno skazal: «Znaeš', s ochoty ego prinesli, Telo u starogo duba našli. Žal' korolevu. Takoj molodoj!.. Za noč' odnu ona stala sedoj». Trubku svoju na kamine našël I na rabotu nočnuju ušël. Dočku moju ja sejčas razbužu, V serye glazki eë pogljažu. A za oknom šelestjat topolja: «Net na zemle tvoego korolja...»
