Troppo ben può questo tiranno Amore, poiché non val fuggire a chi no'l può soffrire. Quando i' penso talor com'arde, e punge, i' dico: «Ah core stolto, non l'aspettar; che fai? Fuggilo sí, che non ti prenda mai.» Ma non so com'il lusinghier mi giunge, ch'io dico: «Ah core stolto, perché fuggito l'hai? Prendilo sí, che non ti fugga mai.»
