Sifflements, pépiements, trilles !
Le printemps veut se mettre en marche,
Il arrive, chante et retentit.
Comme ils sont tous joyeux,
Vifs, et s'agitent gaiment !
Merle, grive, pinson et sansonnet,
Et toute la bande d'oiseaux
Nous souhaitent une joyeuse année,
Surtout la santé et le bonheur.
Ce qu'ils nous annoncent maintenant,
Prenons-le à cœur :
Nous aussi voulons être joyeux,
Joyeux comme les petits oiseaux,
Ici et là, par monts et par vaux,
Chanter, sauter , badiner.
