Nun zeiget das entblößte Feld

Simon
 Nun zeiget das entblößte Feld
 der ungebet'nen Gäste Zahl,
 die an den Halmen Nahrung fand
 und irrend jetzt sie weiter sucht.
 Des kleines Raubes klaget nicht
 der Landmann, der ihn kaum bemerkt;
 dem Übermaße wünscht er
 doch nicht ausgestellt zu sein.
 Was ihn dagegen sichern mag,
 sieht er als Wohltat an,
 und willig fröhnt er dann zur Jagd,
 die seinen guten Herrn ergötzt.
