Nun zeiget das entblößte Feld
Language: German (Deutsch)

 Nun zeiget das entblößte Feld
 der ungebet'nen Gäste Zahl,
 die an den Halmen Nahrung fand
 und irrend jetzt sie weiter sucht.
 Des kleines Raubes klaget nicht
 der Landmann, der ihn kaum bemerkt;
 dem Übermaße wünscht er
 doch nicht ausgestellt zu sein.
 Was ihn dagegen sichern mag,
 sieht er als Wohltat an,
 und willig fröhnt er dann zur Jagd,
 die seinen guten Herrn ergötzt.

Ora il campo spoglio rivela
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Simone
 Ora il campo spoglio rivela
 la quantità di ospiti non invitati,
 che fra le spighe trovano cibo
 andando in cerca di qua e di là.
 Del piccolo furto non si lagna
 il contadino, che appena lo nota;
 il suo desiderio è solamente
 non essere esposto a un furto più grande.
 Tutto ciò che può rassicurarlo
 lo considera ben fatto:
 e si rallegra per la caccia,
 che rende lieto il suo buon signore.
