Am Strande steht ein Fischerhaus, da ist mein Lieb zu Heime. Aus sanften Äuglein blickt's hinaus als ob es gutes träume. Des Abends sitzt es auf dem Stein und wenn die Wellen rauschen, dann neigt es leis das Köpfchen fein, will sich ein Lied erlauschen. Ich wüßte wohl was ich dir säng' wenn ich die Welle wäre! Ich säng': dein Häuslein ist zu eng, wir fahren auf dem Meere. Wir fahren in das schöne Land das liegt am gold'nen Rheine, wir fahren beide Hand in Hand[,] wir beide ganz alleine.
