by Felix Ludwig Julius Dahn (1834 - 1912)

Es lebt ein wundersames Leben
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es lebt ein wundersames Leben
In eines Maienabends Duft,
Die ew'ge Gnade fühl' ich schweben
Beglückend durch die weiche Luft:

Sie breitet aus die milden Hände,
Daß reicher Segen niederträuft,
Daß Licht und Liebe sonder Ende
Sich auf das Haupt der Menschen häuft.

Des Himmels Schatz wird ausgespendet:
Das Herz faßt all' die Fülle nicht,
Es wird das Seligste verschwendet:
Duft, Liebe, Wärme, Friede, Licht!
