Storch, Storch, Schnibel, Schnabel
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Storch, Storch, Schnibel, Schnabel,
Mit der langen Heugabel,
Mit den langen Beinen!
Wenn die Sonn' thut scheinen,
Steht er auf dem Kirchendach,
Klappert, klappert bis Alles wacht.
Storch hat sich auf's Nest gestellt,
Guckt herab auf Dorf und Feld:
"Wird bald Ostern sein?
Kommt hervor, ihr Blümelein,
Komm hervor, du grünes Gras,
Komm herein, du Osterhas,
Komm fein bald und fehl' mir nit,
Bring' auch deine Eier mit."

The stork
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
Stork, stork, beak, beak
With the long pitchfork [of a beak],
With the long legs!
When the sun shines
It stands upon the church roof,
Clacking, clacking until everything is awake.
The stork has planted itself upon its nest,
Looks down upon village and field:
"Will it soon be Easter?
Appear, you little flowers,
Appear, you green grass,
Come in, you Easter Bunny,
Come right soon and do not fail me,
And bring along your eggs as well."
