Passato è il tempo omaj
Seria mia pena con men doglia usita.
Però convegno al tuto far partita
Dal passato piacere;
E'n questo provedere
Perder lieltate e rinovar sospiri.

The time is now past
Language: English  after the Italian (Italiano)
The time is now past for those thoughts
Which used to destroy my peace
And now I am very displeased
At that which gave me so long a torment.
What torments me even more, is the grave mistake
Which brought me so near the end of life.
If I had loved a lady of worth
Then my devotion would have brought me less pain.
Still, everyone has to leave behind
The pleasures of the past;
In looking forward,
We lose old loyalties and renew our sighs.
The time is now past for those thoughts
Which used to destroy my peace
And now I am very displeased
At that which gave me so long a torment.
